Who are nomadtax?
Nomadtax is a Swedish tax advisory firm specializing in international tax law for individuals and businesses. We help you if you are looking to leave Sweden, already live abroad, or have an international lifestyle to navigate the tax issues that arise – in a secure and financially sound way.
Felix Schöttle – founder and tax lawyer
Nomadtax is run by Felix Schöttle, a Swedish attorney (LL.M.) with extensive specialization in Swedish and international tax law. Felix holds a law degree from Lund University, where he specialized in tax law with an international focus toward the end of his studies. His thesis examined the concept of "significant ties" (väsentlig anknytning) – the rule governing continued unlimited tax liability for individuals who have left Sweden – an area that remains central to his advisory work.
During his law studies, Felix gained broad practical experience through trainee positions at law firms Vinge and Glimstedt, work at the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket), and an internship at the Swedish Embassy in Belgrade. After graduating, Felix spent over three years at Skeppsbron Skatt, one of Sweden's leading tax consultancy firms, within the Private Client Services division – focusing on tax matters for individuals with an international lifestyle.

Common questions we help clients with
Am I still taxable in Sweden after leaving the country? It depends on whether you have significant ties to Sweden. Factors such as housing, family, and financial interests all play a role. We carry out a thorough assessment of your individual situation.
What are the tax implications if I work as a digital nomad or work remotely from abroad? Complex questions often arise regarding both the state of residence and the source state. We help you understand your tax situation and plan optimally.
How are my Swedish income and capital gains taxed when I live abroad? Depending on the type of income, SINK tax, withholding tax on dividends, or ordinary limited tax liability may apply. We clarify what applies in your specific case.
